About Kimberly John-Burns
Much to her grandmother’s discipline (may she continue to sleep in peace) as well as her mother’s, financier Kimberly John-Burn’s rearing was based on three intentions: to spend wisely, enjoy life while doing so, and empower others to do the same. While her grandmother sat and prepared her monthly budget in her accounting ledger, little did she know that Kimberly’s over inquisitive spirit would lead to her passion to teach others how to get their money right!
Now, an expert in financial wellness, budgeting and collaborative partnerships, Kimberly helps individuals leverage their strengths, identify their weaknesses and expand their view of themselves, others, and the world. Her hunger for knowledge and determination to turn information into action has contributed to her impressive career, where she worked with clients in various industries, including lifestyle, tech, and healthcare. Through her brand, Common Stake Group, she shares practical solutions that allow clients to up-level their thinking and learn financial management skills, increasing awareness and helping them build towards a secure financial future. Her focus areas include peer-to-peer economic resources, financial reporting and budget preparation. A Brooklyn-native and 9/11 survivor, Kimberly’s drive and motivation for educating and supporting business leaders exemplify through the intensives and workshops she facilitates throughout the country.
Though her passion, Kimberly’s love for finances cannot compare to her greatest joy: her family. A wife and mother, Kimberly’s focus has always been to wake up every morning with the determination to make an impact on her family, community, and clients, a welcomed change that they need and deserve.
